Halkidis says:
This beautiful, clean, safe and popular beach and surrounding area is “the” place to be in Ft.Lauderdale. If you are not sunbathing, take a little walk here towards Las Olas Beach and visit one of many shops, bars or restaurants nearby. Or rent a bike and stroll whole Boulevard from South to North. The lot to see and do, so on a sunny day, you can easily spend the whole day here.

Gran7 says:
What a beautiful beach right in the middle of the action in Fort Lauderdale. Lots of public beaches near hotels if you want to take a dip but also spectacular views if you are walking from the shops or restaurant s in the area or driving down the oceanfront. There is something for everyone.

Canadian_Hoser says:
I love this beach! You can walk for miles either in the sand or along the sidewalk. Amazing people watching, endless restaurants and bars and feels very safe at least during the day and evening. We never went out after midnight. I much prefer this beach to Miami Beach. I highly recommend if you are taking a cruise out of Fort Lauderdale to stay right down on the beach and enjoy the location instead of inland. We’ve done both, prpre-cruiseand it’s definitely worth the extra cost to be there.

Todd B says:
Really enjoyed the week during non-peak. The beach was not packed. We stayed at the Conrad and was the easy walking distance to everything. Beach was very clean though slightly eroded due to the full moon. Beach lights were off along the boardwalk for the turtles. Made it even more enjoyable.

Dawid K says:
Lovely beach with everything you need. Nice restaurants in the area. Possibility to rent a sun bed or/with an umbrella. Good to stay in one of the beach hotels.

Master1 says:
We spent a day on this beautiful beach and it was clean, with showers and absolutely beautiful. There are plenty of deck chairs to rent but one can also stay in the free sections.

Jeremy Clements says:

Venice Beach was great. We have previously only gone to Atlantic beaches around Jacksonville. The major difference is sand vs. shells. The Gulf and particularly Venice Beach is known for some amazing shells and shark teeth, but the sand is much more course than the near powder sands of the Atlantic beaches. The kids can build sand castles at both, so we really enjoyed this as a change of scenery.

Julie Fraser says:

love this beach! water is lovely, and it’s a big beach. lots of parking and bathroom, changing room and rinse off. snacks also right there. and and easy walk onto one of the most charming towns you will find.

Brad Van Norman says:

Had a great time in the Florida heat with my kids, plenty of parking and party store on one side and a restaurant/beach shop on the other. Attentive life guards with all Sea info posted and up to date. Many showers for rinsing off and the bathrooms are great. This is a very beautiful park/beach fun for the family.

Ross Echtermeyer says:

Beautiful beach. Sand is like walking through flour. Nice and cool. Water is wonderful, almost like bath water. Pavilion and parking is equally nice. Best time to arrive is sunup. Beach is machine raked regularly. Lifeguard towers are not manned until late morning. It’s understandable this beach is rated one of the best in the world.

Jean Castel says:

Such a beautiful beach!! There is parking adjacent the beach when you can find it (honestly wasn’t too difficult to find parking at all). The water is crystal clear blue and you can even see the fish swimming alone the shore! The beach wasn’t too packed although there was a good amount of people but not enough to feel crowded. We went on a Wednesday around 1pm. It was absolutely beautiful the water was a little chill but felt good with the sun shining down and a light breeze. Definitely kid friendly as there were young children playing in the sand and we even joined them and when we were ready to leave there was a place to rinse your feet and body! Perfect way to spend an afternoon!

Reviews about Miami Children’s Museum

Pauline Wagoner says:

We enjoy coming on Mondays, because it’s supposed to be 5 and under children. Plenty to do. Storytime mixed with music is wonderful. We love the whole place. Membership is well worth it. Can’t wait to go back with the 1 year old. He loves it here. Inside and cool. Employees are very helpful and courteous. We go at least twice a month, if not more.

Cristina Lazar-Bond says:

So much fun! We went on a Friday at 2pm. The museum is 2 stories, and although we were there 4 hours there were still some exhibits we missed. All the exhibits are hands-on and you will get the most if you just engulf yourself into being a kid again. We must’ve spent 15-30 minutes at each exhibit, but from young to old we all had a blast! Very impressed and well worth the admission, wish we would’ve made it an all day event!

Elba Pavon says:

Every third Saturday of every month this museum is free!!! Great place to take your kids. Every month they change up the museum. My toddler love running around and exploring new things.

K Rogers says:

Mini Mondays are great for the little ones. I thought it was going to be really crowded but it wasn’t bad at all. The place is so big that everyone can spread out and find their own niche. They also offer military discount which is nice. The only problem is trying to read your parking spot number to pay. They’ve repainted the numbers so many times you can’t read them.

Leah Aponte says:

We had an excellent time! 6 & 3, we sang karaoke, played race with boats. We were fisherman, doctors, artists, bankers and so much more! Loved the interactive money station, the art painting station and of course the grocery station! Great time.

Andy Tirado says:

I will visit this place more than once again in the future. Exceptional collection mainly Packards but there is much more to see. Great staff, from ladies in the office, to Bob the technician, and the detailer. Everyone is knowledgeable, curious, and passionate about there position and the museum.

Michael Khoury says:

If you’re into antique/classic cars, specifically Packard cars, this is an amazing gallery and hosts a simply astonishing collection of vehicles, ornaments, and packard car-related paraphernalia and history which is very well explained by the tour guide who is both comprehensive and at times comical in the explanation of the history of the museum, and makes for a very fun and fulfilling experience.

David Altermatt says:

This is one of the greatest secrets in Fort Lauderdale. The museum has one of the best collections of Packards in the country, tracing the car line from it’s beginning thru it’s majestic history to its final days. If you love impeccably restored vintage vehicles this an inexpensive way to spend an afternoon. The museum is also available for private party rentals.

Mogens Erik Brockhusen says:

Don’t leave Fort Lauderdale without visiting this museum.
We were told it would take an hour – wrong.
There are so many things to see, that can spend a whole afternoon in here, watching and studying all the things on display.
We will come back in the future.
